Fossil gastropods Campanile lachesis Bayan, 1870 from the upper Eocene of the Eastern Rhodopes (Bulgaria)

The subject of this study is the description eight specimens fossil gastropods Campanile lachesis Bayan, 1870, family Campanilidae, from fund Regional Museum History in Kardzhali. They were found area village Gorna Krepost, Kardzhali Municipality, at eastern foot Archeological Complex Perperikon, upper Eocene (Priabonian) limestone layers so-called Beli Plast Rhyodacite Complex. paleoecological traits present fauna give ground to infer that was a very shallow reefal environment with rocky substrate sandy bottom, overgrown algae, and water warm, normal salinity.
